WHere is a home-style take on a cocktail found on our latest cocktail list. It's a batch pre-mixed which is packed full of tastes of a Christmas time, making it perfect for hosting a holiday party. Any leftover citrus syrup for morning drinks, sweets, or for additional servings of bikinis.
The Bikini Cocktail
Makes enough for 10 guests
For the Clementine Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g fine sugar
To make the Drink (yields 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (from the recipe above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Method
For the Cordial: Put every components inside a pot, heat until it reaches a simmer, agitating to dissolve. After that, take off the stove and let it to cool entirely. Decant to a clean bottle, seal and store chilled, where it will keep for around four weeks.
To make Cocktail Base: Mix all the spirits and syrup into a large bottle, let it rest for 60 minutes, then pass it through preferably using cheesecloth, so it's completely strained.
When ready to serve: Pour 85ml of the premix to a cocktail shaker containing ice, and stir gently for about 60 seconds to cool it down. Strain into a cold coupe glass or equivalent, decorate with the cranberries and finish using a brief mist of the essential oil above the glass.
